When your film revolves around a down-on-his-luck wedding singer warbling out 80s jukebox hits and screaming at newlyweds, as well as tons of homages to the heyday of MTV, how could we not?

It's hard to remember a time when The Wedding Singer wasn't simply another stop along the 80s nostalgia railroad, but this film actually predates that trend by a couple of years.
