Happy New Year, party pals! This week, Discord & Rhyme co-host and Weird Al Superfan Rich Bunnell joins us to discuss the soundtrack to Weird Al Yankovic's UHF!
Released in the summer of 1989, UHF got lost in the shuffle of one of the biggest blockbuster seasons ever. The film may have been overshadowed by the likes of Batman and Indiana Jones, but time has been kind to UHF. Many today consider it a cult classic, and also one of the stranger albums in Weird Al's catalog.
In addition to the songs from the film, we also have tunes about classic TV shows, the requisite polka medley, and also one of the greatest odes to Americana ever written. It's true! So fix yourself a twinkie weiner sandwich, crank up the volume and yank off the knob as we dig into everything U-62 has to offer!
