Saddle up, partners! This week we're piling into the old sheepdog-mobile as we discuss the soundtrack to Dumb and Dumber! 1994 was Jim Carrey's breakout year, and this film solidified him as a comedy force to be reckoned with. It's also wildly problematic and many of the jokes have not aged well. C'est la vie.
However... The soundtrack to Dumb and Dumber is secretly brilliant! It features an all-time classic cover from Crash Test Dummies, as well as some true jangle-pop bangers from Pete Droge, The Sons and The Gigolo Aunts. We've also got Echobelly, The Proclaimers, and whatever the hell it is Green Jelly thinks they're doing... It's another fascinating snapshot of the rock-pop landscape of the mid-nineties.
So join us as we embark on a multi-part journey through the soundtracks of the Farrelly Brothers!
