Valentine's Day is upon us, so let's take a dip into the psychosexual waters of the mid-80s with the 1986 sex romp Nine 1/2 Weeks. Kim Basinger plays the somewhat naïve, somewhat frigid art exhibitor Elizabeth, and Bruce Willis Mickey Rourke plays John, a Wall Street suit with some very particular kinks. Over the course of nine and a half weeks, the two share a love affair full of blindfolds, back alley dalliances and lots and lots of foodplay.
As for the soundtrack? We have singles from Corey Hart and Duran Duran bassist John Taylor, Eurythmics doing what they do best, an odd cover song by Devo, and Joe Cocker singing over perhaps the best striptease scene ever committed to film. So cozy up with your special someone and get ready for some hot, steamy mood music...
